ABUS FAS97 hinge side lock - concealed burglary protection for the strap side. The ABUS FAS97 is a reliable additional fuse for the often neglected hinge side of windows and patio doors. It specifically protects the tape side from prying – a popular point of attack during break-ins. The installation is concealed, the design is compact and unobtrusive. The operation is particularly convenient: when the window is closed, the fuse locks automatically. When opened, it swings with you - no additional handle required. A small bracket is only operated when tilting. With over 1 ton of pressure resistance, the FAS97 meets the highest safety standards: VdS-approved, DIN-tested, SKG*** certified and ABUS safety level 10. Also suitable for narrow installation situations: the compact frame strip requires only 2.95 cm distance between window casement and wall. The fuse can be used on aluminium, wooden or plastic windows. For PVC or softwood, additional use of fixing anchors or composite mortar is recommended. The mounting material is included - the screw connection is concealed after installation.
